Terms of Use

Tessék is an app for learning Hungarian words: a dictionary, practice games, conjugation, grammar articles and text analysis. By using the app you accept these terms. How your data is handled is described in the separate privacy policy.
Who provides the app
The app is developed by Aleksandr Ilinskii, Hungary. Contact: tessek.app@gmail.com.
Account
An anonymous account is created on first launch. Signing in with Google or Apple lets your progress and purchases follow you to another device and to the web version. You are responsible for access to your Google, Apple and store accounts.
What is free and what is paid
The dictionary, practice games, present-tense conjugation and articles marked as free are available to everyone without payment and without ads.
Paid, as separate purchases in the App Store or Google Play:
- Character packs for text analysis — 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000 characters.
- Sections — “Past tense” in conjugation and all “Grammar” articles. Each section is bought once, for good.
Text analysis includes a free allowance of 2,000 characters a month. The allowance resets on the first day of each month (UTC). The allowance, the packs and the prices may change; the price is shown in the store before you buy, in your storefront’s currency.
Character packs
- Characters are deducted by the length of the text you send for analysis: free characters of the month first, purchased ones after.
- Purchased characters do not expire.
- They belong to the Tessék account they were bought in and are available on every device and in the web version after signing in to that account. They cannot be moved to another Tessék account.
- If an analysis fails on our side — the server or the model declined — the deducted characters are returned automatically.
- Deleting the account deletes any unused characters with it.
Sections
- A section is bought once and stays unlocked for good.
- The purchase is tied to your store account (Apple ID or Google account). “Restore purchases” in the profile unlocks the section in the Tessék account you are signed in to; it is then locked in the previous Tessék account — one purchase unlocks the section in one account.
- Sections grow: new articles and tables become part of a section you already own. Section content may change and be corrected.
Payment and refunds
All purchases go through the App Store and Google Play under their rules. Payment details — card, address — stay with the store and never reach us.
Refunds are requested from the store: for the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play through your order history or Google Play support. If the store refunds a purchase, the corresponding characters or section may be revoked.
Text analysis
The analysis is produced by an AI model (Anthropic). It can be wrong and does not replace a textbook or a teacher — double-check. You are responsible for the text you send: do not send other people’s personal data or texts you are not entitled to process. The text is not stored and is used only for that analysis.
Content and rights
The dictionary, translations, examples, exercises and articles are ours. Third-party materials (photos, icons, the voice) are used under their licences — the list is in the app’s “Credits” screen. You may use the content for your own learning; copying, distributing or using it in other products is not allowed.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee it will work without interruptions or errors and are not liable for indirect losses. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the last twelve months. Consumer rights guaranteed by law regardless of contract are not limited by these terms.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete account. We may close an account for abuse — automated access, circumventing payment, attempts to extract the content.
Changes
If these terms change, a new update date will appear here, and material changes will be announced in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Hungary, unless mandatory rules of your country of residence provide otherwise.
